COMPETITION IN SYDNEY (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY, Wednesday. At the Sydney wool sales to-day 11,904 bales were sold. There was very keen demand for finer descriptions of Merino. Prices were in sellers’ favour. Japan and Germany were the chef operators. Greasy Merino sold to 36d. N.Z. SHARES IN LONDON (United Service) LONDON, Wednesday. The following are included among today's quotations on the London Stock Exchange:—Bank of Australasia, £ls; Bank of New South Wales, £49 Is 3d; Union Bank of Australia, £ls 16s 3d; National Bank of New Zealand, £7 7s 6d; Bank of New Zealand. 4 per cent, guaranteed stock, £93 10s; Bank of New Zealand (shares), 60s 4id; New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., debentures, £75; ordinary stock, £l2B 10s.
