GIFT TO FORMER M.P.

SERVICES OF MR. ELIOTT Press Association FELLDING, To-day. Mr. J. G. Eliott, ex-M.P. for Oroua, received a public presentation of a purse of sovereigns last ngiht. The Mayor presided over a large gathering. The guests included Sir George Hunter, Mr. J. A. Nash, Mr. G. Linklater, Mr. J. Dickie, M.P.'s, and Mr. F. J. Rolleston. The presentation was made by Sir George Hunter, who praised Mr. Eliott for his services to the farming community, especially mentioning the Fertiliser Bill.
