FIREMAN WHO FOUGHT IN QUAY STREET

HAS BEEN IN HOSPITAL Looking, and doubtless feeling, sadder and wiser, after two days in hospital, Hector McLeod, the fourth of a quartette of firemen who staged a vigorous battle in Quay Street on Monday evening, appeared at the Police Court this morning, McLeod pleaded guilty to fighting in Quay Street, Sub-Inspector McCarthy mentioned that McLeod, who was in the middle of the scuffle; was knocked unconscious and had to be taken to the hospital. There were expenses amounting to £ 2 14s to be met. McLeod, who said that money was waiting for him on the Kia Ora, was convicted and ordered to pay expenses
