ROSKILL RESERVES
TO BE VESTED IN BOARD The Lands and Survey Department notified the Mount Koskill Road Board by letter last evening that it was prepared to recommend that the whole of the reserves in the district, now vested in the Crown, should be transferred to the board should it so desire. Plans covering all the reserves were laid upon the table, when it was announced by Mr. G. E. Tansley, chairman of the reserves committee, that the board had no title of land on which their offices were built. It was a plantation reserve vested in the Crown and the board was merely squatting on It. Several right-of-ways in the board’s district were also shown on the plans as plantation reserves. All sticli anomalies will now’ be rectified by the board agreeing to the proposed transfer.
