EASTER CRICKET
SUBURBAN REPRESENTATIVE GAME WORK OF COACH PRAISED On Easter Monday. Suburban Cricket Association teams will be engaged in three representative matches. The senior A team will play North Auckland, senior B, Franklin, and the junior team, Waipa. The arrangements were made at a meeting of the association last evening. The policy of the association in regard to the engagement of a coach will be decided at a special meeting on February 19. Several members praised the work done this season by Mr. G. R. Cox, and said that they would support any move for his return. CABLE BOARD WINS Pacific Cable Board defeated Post and Telegraph in a cricket match yesterday. Details: —Post and Telegraph: First innings, 146 (Davis 31, Deary 24, Zaninovitch 19). Bowling: Stoupe, 4-3 S: Norton, 3-35; Kilworth, 2-10. Pacific Cable Board —First innings, 157 for five wickets (Christian 62, Kilworth 23, Norton 21, retired). Bowling: Forrest, 2-13; Davis, 3-72. THEATRE MATCH In a cricket match yesterday, a team from the Majestic and the Strand Theatres beat the Regent Theatre team by five runs. Strand-Majestic made 115 (Furley 67. Foulds 16, Taylor 15),
and Regent 110 (Wright 50, Guttridge 22, Munro 21). WAIPA’S CRICKETERS (Special to THE S UA' ) TE AWAMUTU, Tuesday. Players to represent tne Waipa Cricket Association in a match with Putaruru at Arapuni are:—M. Barnett, W. Marten, Ivnowles, Smith, R. Lord (Te Awamutu), C. Farr, L. Spiers (Paterangi), C.
