Amery, said that the Domonions' expenditure on naval defence during the year 1928-29 was estimated as follows: Australia .. .. £ 3,387,00 Q Canada £545,000 New Zealand . . £711,000 (Including £125,000 as an instalment on the £1,000,000 contribution to the Singapore base). South Africa .. £98,000
