FORMER PRIMATE MAY BE MEDIATOR IN ARMY DISPUTE
(United P.A„ —By Telegraph — Co*pgright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Friday. According to the “Daily Chronicle,” Baron Davidson, the former Archbishop of Canterbury, has been approached and asked to act
as mediator in the Salvation Army dispute. It is understood that he is not averse to the proposal. The Booth family welcomes the suggestion which has not yet been conveyed to the High Council. The “Daily Express” understands that Lord Davidson has written a friendly letter to General Booth referring to his age and his health and advising him to retire.
