LARGER OIL ROW
NEW PLYMOUTH BORE
ANOTHER TEST TO-DAY Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, Sunday. The Blenheim oil bore at Moturoa was again partially uncapped early yesterday afternoon, and for a quarter of an hour pure petroleum and wax flowed with what was considered to be much greater volume than on Friday. After running over the floor of the derrick the oil was collected in trenches and conveyed to big pits in the ground. Although it was not intended to uncap the well again until Monday, when pipes connecting the mouth of the bore to steel reservoirs will be fitted, yesterday’s demonstration was made for the benefit of Mr. Hornabrook, of Masterton, representative of a Sydney firm of financiers which is interested in the drilling operations. Mr. Hornabrook arrived post-liaste by car after travelling most of the night. It is intended to take an accurate measurement of the flow to-morrow.
