FIRE IN TIMBER STACK
FACTORY IN DANGER
fire broke out in a stack of old timber near a factory owned by P. g. Wolfe, in Gillies Avenue, Newmarket on Saturday evening. The timber, which had been stacked near the factory wall after a recent fire, was only slightly damaged, but there was danger that the flames might spread to the factory itself. The Newmarket Fire Brigade turned out promptly, however, and the fire was soon extinguished.
