TWO MEN FIGHT
VICTIM SAID TO BE RESPONSIBLE
Although Reginald William Wooley, a 25-vear-old motor-mechanic, was charged with assaulting- George Lee and causing bodily harm, in the Police Court this morning, the evidence said That Lee had started two scuffles between the men. Sub-Inspector McCarthy said that the evidence of Percy Roke, a farmer, of Kaeo, gave a fair indication of the facts of the case. Roke said that Lee had started trouble in Customs Street East and on Queen's Wharf. Lee received a leg injury and was sent to hospital. Mr. McCarthy said that the police would raise no objection to bail, and there was no occasion for a heavy sum. Rail was fixed at £25, and a remand was made until February 25. When Woolley was concerned in t.h<* trouble with Lee, lie was just starting •*ul on ix launch trip for two weeks.
