Dempsey has all his old doggedness, of course, but no one seems to have much enthusiasm over notion that he retains his old-time cleverness under the mask of a cinema face. His friends claim that he is preparing for a fight in September—ten years since be won the heavyweight title from Jess Willard. Young Stribling is being touted as having excellent chances of emerging from the cluster of title contenders—but Stribling has been boomed before. The last time it was boom, boom—burst!
