CITY TUNNEL SCHEME
GOVERNMENT’S INTENTION TRANSPORT BOARD INQUIRES In view of the Auckland Transport Board’s projected tramway extensions it is anxious to ascertain the attitude of the new Government in regard to the City-Morningside underground railway. In reply to a telegraphed inquiry the Prime Minister, the Rl Hon. Sir Joseph Ward, said he regretted he was unable to. give a definite statement yet as the Government had not had opportunity of considering the proposal.
