TOFUA AT SUVA. —Cable advice has been received by the local office of the Union Company that the Island passenger steamer Tofua arrived at Suva at 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon from Auckland.

ULIMAROA FROM SYDNEY.—The Ulimaroa leaves Sydney at noon to-mor-row for Wellington, and is due there gn Tuesday morning. The Ulimaroa is the only passenger steamer leaving byanej this week for New Zealand. PORT AUCKLAND AT LONDON. — Cabled advice has been received that the C. and D. Line steamer Port Auckland arrived at London last Friday. The vessel sailed from Wanganui on December 11 for London, via Panama.

PAKEHA LEAVES PORT NATAL. — The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Pakeha is reported to have left Port Natal, South Africa, last Friday for New Zealand. The vessel is scheduled to load in New Zealand for England during March.

NORFOLK LEAVES CURACAO.— Cabled news received by the New Zealand Shipping Company reports that the Federal steamer Norfolk left Curacao on January 24 for London, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool. The vessel left Wellington on December 30. PORT WELLINGTON AT PANAMA.— En route from Napier to New York and London, the C. and D. Line steamer Port Wellington is reported to have reached Panama last Friday. She sailed from Napier on January 5. PORT CAROLINE SAILS. —The Port Caroline was dispatched for Gisborne, Napier, Timaru, New Plymouth and Wanganui last evening to complete loading for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain. She is to be dispatched from Wellington for London on February 17.

CARGO FROM SOUTH AUSTRALIA.— The local office of the Union Company has befen advised that the steamer Kekerangu, from South Australian ports, was to leave Melbourne yesterday for Hobart, where she completes her loading for Dunedin, Lyttelton, Wellington, New Plymouth and Auckland.

TREWORLAS AT COLON. —Cabled news has been received that the A. and A. Line chartered steamer Treworlas arrived at Colon on Friday last. The vessel left New York on January 16 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, and is due at Auckland on February 22.

COWDEN LAW ARRIVING. —Due in the stream at 2 o'clock this afternoon, the steamer Cowden Law later berths at the Central Wharf to unload the local portion of her Ocean Island phosphates, under the agency of Henderson and Macfarlane. From Auckland the vesesl proceeds to Lyttelton to complete discharge.

TAINUI AT SOUTHAMPTON. —Cabled news has been received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company that their liner Tainui arrived at Southampton on Sunday afternoon from Lyttelton, after a smart passage of 36 days. The vessel left Lyttelton on December 22 for Southampton and London, via Panama.

MATAKANA CLEARED COLON.—The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Matakana is reported to have cleared Colon last Monday, en route from New Zealand to London. She was dispatched from Wellington for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain on January

CANADIAN HIGHLANDER COMING. —According to cable advice, the Canadian National Steamships’ steamer Canadian Highlander left Halifax on Monday with cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. She is expected to arrive here on March 8.

WESTMORELAND AT COLON.—En route from Liverpool to New Zealand, the Federal Line steamer Westmoreland is reported to have reached Colon last Monday. The vessel has general merchandise from West Coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on February 12. PLUME DUE TO-MORROW. —With a full cargo of bulk petrol from San Francisco the Vacuum Oil Company’s tanker Plume will arrive to-morrow evening at 9 o’clock, according to her wireless advice. The cargo is for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel will berth at Western Wharf to pump oil into the company’s tanks at Freeman’s Bay.

BRUNSWICK DUE TO-MORROW.— The Atlantic Oil Company’s new electric motor-tanker Brunswick is due at Auckland from San Pedro, via Australia and Wellington, at six o’clock to-morrow morning. She will berth at Western Wharf to unload about 750,000 gallons of bulk petrol into the company’s tanks at Freeman’s Bay. After completition of discharge she is to return to San Pedro.

NORTHUMBERLAND’S MOVEMENTS —The Federal Line steamer Northumberland at present discharging her Liverpool cargo at Port Chalmers, is to leave there to-day for Bluff to complete discharge, and to commence loading for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain. The vessel will subsequently load at Gisborne, Napier, Lytelton, Timaru and Wellington. She is due at Wellington on February 25 and is to sail finally from that port on March 5 for London, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool.

NOBEL’S SAILING VESSELS. —The Nobel auxiliary schooner Huia is due at Sydney from Greymouth at any time now. After unloading her timber cargo she will take ammunition from Sydney for Melbourne, and will then load explosives Melbourne for Queensland ports. From Queensland the vessel will proceed to 1, Grafton to load timber for Auckland, and on her return here she will be laid up for survey. Captain T. M. Lane, who recently underwent an operation in a Melbourne hospital, is recovering from his illness, and will rejoin the Huia as soon as the vessel reaches Sydney.

The auxiliary schooner Piri left Greymouth on Tuesday with a timber cargo for Hobart. After discharge she will go to Melbourne to load explosives for Greymouth. Westport and Auckland.

CANADIAN TRANSPORTER LATE.— The local office of the Canadian Steamship Line has been advised that the steamer Canadian Transporter arrived at Napier this morning from Wellington, but is unable to work: consequently, she cannot leave Napier before Saturday for Auckland, where she completes her lending. She is due here on Monday. and efforts are to be made to dispatch her from this port on Tuesday for New York. Boston and Halifax, via Panama. GABRIELLA ARRIVES.—With 2.000 tons of coal and hardwood poles, the R. S. Lamb steamer Gabriella arrived in the stream at Auckland at seven o’clock this morning from Australia, a day earlier than expected. The vessel loaded at Sydney, Newcastle and Port Stephens, sailing from the last-named port on Friday last. For four days she was stuck on a mudbank at Port Stephens (for details see letterpress). The Gabriella had good weather for her trip across the Tasman before light south-westerly winds. Captain B. Lee is in command of the Gabriella and with him are the following officers: Chief, Mr. C. Ostenfehi; second, Mr. L. Bailey; third, Mr. P. Dalziel; chief engineer, Mr. Annand: second. Mr. W. Owsuett: third, Mr. Tripper; chief steward. Mr. W. Fiske. The local agents, the Northern steamship Company, advise that the Gabriella is to be dispatched on Saturday for Gisborne. Napier. Tauranga. Tolaga Bay and Greymoutli to complete the discharge of her cargo. PORT BOWEN ARRIVES—With a cargo of general merchandise from "West Coast ports of the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and Dominion Line’s steamer Port Bowen arrived in the stream at Auckland this morning and berthed at Prince’s Wharf. The Port Bowen loaded first at Glasgow, and completed at Liverpool, from which port she sailed on December 23. Fine weather prevailed across the Atlantic, and the vessel passed through the Panama Canal on January S. Good weather conditions continued to New Zealand. Captain G. W. Hearn is in command of the Port Bowen, and associated with him are the following officers: Chief, Mr. R. C. Carter: second, Mr. E. G. Jones: third. Mr. H. Clinch; fourth, Mr. H. E. Biaine; chief engineer, Mr. J. G. Hooker; second, Mr. T. A. Redwood; third. Mr. J. S. Struthers; fourth, Mr. W. W. Hunter; fifth, Mr. N. E. Brooke; sixth, Mr. E. H. Redpath; seventh, Mr. J. T. Higginson; chief steward, Mr. W. Harvey; chief refrigerating engineer, Mr. C. E. Byron; second, Mr. A. F. Grist; chief wireless operator, Mr. T. Wilkie; second, Mr. D. Anderson. Messrs. Heather. Roberton, Limited, the local agents for the Port Bowen, advise that the vessel is to be dispatched from Auckland early next week for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to put out the remainder of her cargo.
