“HIS LADY” ON FRIDAY The unusually -dramatic underworld film "Me, Gangster.” and the Syd. Chaplin comedy, ‘‘The Fortune Hunter” will be shown for the last time at the Lyric Theatre this evening. _ On Friday the Lyric will present an entire change of programme, with “His Lady" as the main picture. Barrymore first appeared on the screen there was something casual about his performances that made one doubt if he was taking - his picture work seriously. Doubts vanished with his performance of “Beau Brummel.” His portrayal of Captain Ahab Ceelev
in "The Sea Beast" proved conclusively that he was superbly in earnest as a screen star. The "Don Juan demonstrated beyond all do “ b ‘ rJihi! Barrymore is as great on the screen as upon the stage. No more thrfhing individual performance can be recalled than his playing as the Greatest of all great lovers.
