LABOURERS DISPUTE INTERRUPTED POLICE STEP IN Even after the police had arrived it took more than moral suasion to put a stop to the fight between Charles Sydney O’Connor and William Fitzsimmons last evening. O’Connor, acred 27, and Fitzsimmons, aged 41, both labourers, pleaded guilty at the Police Court this morning to fighting in Customs Street. “Both these men have been before you previously,” remarked Subinspector McCarthy. “It is quite an ordinary cose of two men settling a dispute on the street.” O’Connor was fined £3, in default 10 days, and Fitzsimmons, who had not been convicted for some time, .£2. in default seven days.
