HAWKE CUP CONTEST Press Association PALMERSTON N., To-day. The Hawke Cup cricket match, -Vianawatu v. Hawke’s Bay, was resumed this morning. Baumber and Fletcher cortinued to bat in Manama's first innings. The runs came steadily, but with the score at 418 Baumber went out, Ibw, after making 162. The innings closed Wl t£ Edition of nine runs. 'vairarapa opened with Burt and who were very careful, taking -0 minutes to reach 10. The first picket fell with the score at !26, Burt caught. Blamaires brightened the Jlay, but went out Ibw with 61 on the board. His score was 29. The luncheon adjournment was taken almost immediately afterwards. Details: £ Gallichan, b Diederich ....
