SWIMMERS GO SOUTH
ROUSING FAREWELL FOR AUCKLANDERS LINDSAY LEAVES TO-NIGHT Large crowds of swimming followers gave Auckland’s representative team a rousing farewell when it left for Wellington by the second express last evening. Mr. H. Moore, secretary to the Auckland Swimming Centre, went with the team as manager, and Mrs. H. Johnston as chaperon This evening JD. P. Lindsay, New Zealand distance champion, will leave to join the team.. He will be able to compete in two events only, the -20yds and the mile. At the conference of swimming on ti es in Wellington, Auckland’s deletes will be Messrs. H. Moore and L. Hc-hton. Mr. Brighton will also attend a conference of educational oflicers.
