VIGILANCE AS SPRINTER THE PAHIATUA MEETING Press Association PAHIATUA, Wednesday. Splendid weather prevailed for the second day of the Pahiatua meeting and there was a large attendance. The totalisator handled £14,702, against £8,230 on the corresponding day last year, making the total for the meeting £29,134, compared with £17,921 last year, an increase of £11,213. This was the most successful gathering for years. After the running of the third race an inquiry was held into alleged interference by fc>. Anderson with Archeria, Kiiorell and others. The committee held that interference took place, but that there was not sufficient evidence of incompetent or careless riding to justify suspension.
