MUZZLING THE PRESS
FASCIST CENSORSHIP Times Cable. LONDON, Monday. The Milan correspondent of “The Times” reports that Italian publishers have been invited in future to submit the proofs of political publications to the local Fascist federations. When the latter are in doubt they will submit publications to the Fascist National Press Bureau for examination. The federations have been instructed to treat with particular severity hyperbolical publications which ridicule Fascism on the pretext of exalting it.
