NO TEST MUSIC ON AIR
COMPANY’S DECISION (Special to THE SUE) WANGANUI, To-day, The Radio Broadcasting Company of New Zealand has advised the executive of the New Zealand band contest that it will not include contest music pn any more programmes until after t&e contest at the end of February, and it has assured the executive it will cooperate in every way to make the contest successful. The generous attitude of the Broadcasting Company has given general satisfaction to members of the executive. Mr. T. J. Rees, chief adjudicator, of Swansea, Wales, is now on his way to New Zealand. He says he is well acquainted with the music, the scores of which were furnished to him in England. He considers the music, though not very difficult, very good and he believes it will be popular. The B grade music is of a very high standard and some of the test pieces have been judged by him at the Crystal Palace.
