A move to authorise President Coolidge to seek a naval disarmament agreement with Great Britain before anv of the keels of the new cruisers were laid was started in the Senate When Senator Norris offered such an amendment to the pending cruisei bill. Mr Norris’s amendment would request the President to enter into an agreement with Britain for limitation in the construction of cruisers and aircraft carriers. The amendment will be discussed later.
