Christian Brothers’ School "'ln that city, later studying at Sydney, Dublin and Rome. He was ordained priest by the late Bishop Verdon in 1904 at Dunedin and taught at Holy Cross College, MosKiel, being rector from 1910 to 1930. In the latter year he was consecrated bishop in St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Dunedin. by His Grace Archbishop Redwood. He is well known as a contributor to the “New Zealand Tablet” and Roman Catholic and secular newspapers.
