SHOOTING AT PENROSE RANGE CLOSE COMPETITION Close competition continued, until the end, last evening, of the Auckland Rifle Association’s annual shooting meeting at Penrose. , l>ater in the day, over the longer ranges, sun-glare troubled the marksmen more than it did in the morning. A. T. Patrick, of City and Suburbs, did not have his morning score of the possible number of marks beaten in the late matches. Five matches, in A and B grades, for the first time, a service match and a teams match, were decided. City and Suburbs Club took most of the honours in the aggregate counts.
