Renown Firming By “NOOX CALL - ’ THE general feeling on 'Change has improved considerably and many sales have been recorded. All insurance shares are firm, few shares offering. Renown Collieries ordinary shares have buyers at 16s lOd. sellers 18s, while the preferference changed hands at 2s lOd this morning, leaving the market firm.
Bank securities remain steady, though few transactions have been recorded, • • • Auckland Gas shares are steady, with buyers 24s 4d, sellers 24s sd; and the contributing shares are firm with buyers 17s 10a, no sellers quoting. There is a buyer for Gisborne Gas at its, but fails to attract a seller. • * • In the shipping section, Devonport Ferry have sellers at 24s 9d. Howard Smith are In demand at 24s 6d. In Huddart-Parkers, both issues are asked for. Northern Steam, both issues, fail to attract buyers.
