LORRY-DRIVERS FINED
W. Arnold, a driver for the Truv port and Storage Company, and Alian McLaren, of Kingsland. were each fined £5 with costs, £1 11s, for a breach of the motor-lorry regulations at the Te Awamutu Magistrate's Court on Friday.
The portion of the main highway between To Awamutu and Oliaupo is restricted to over-all loads of four tons. Arnold’s load was 5 tons 9cwt 141 b, while McLaren s was 5 tons 6cwt.
