DROWNED WHILE FISHING
SWEPT AWAY BY WAVE Press Association GISBORNE, To-day. George Davidson, aged 26, a service car driver, was Ashing at Matakaoa Point, near Hicks Bay, when he was swept off the rocks by a wave and drowned, despite the efforts of his two companions to save him. He leaves a widow and three young children.
