IN CHARGE OF TRAINING
NEW CAPTAIN FOR RAN{Australian and N.Z. Press Association ) Reed. 1.40 a.m. LONDON, Friday. The Admiralty announces that Captain A. M. Lecky, D. 5.0., R.N., has been lent to the Royal Australian Navy as captain in charge of training, and in command of the Flinders Naval Depot. Captain Arthur Macaulay T.eray is a sol) of the late Colonel ueorge Leckj, of the Indian Army. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order in 1918. and mentioned in dispatches. From 1926 to 1927 he commanded the cruiser Colombo. \t the Flinders Naval Depot, which is situated at Westernport, about 40 miles from Melbourne, recruits are trained for all branches of the Australian Navy. Men from the fleet also are sent there to undergo special courses for promotion. The total complement of Flinders Depot, including trainees, is about 1.200.
