BOYS VISIT CALIFORNIA RETURN TRIP PLANNED (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) Reed. 9.5 a.ir* SAN FRANCISCO, Fri. The Australian boys who are touring the world visited Oakland to-day. and placed their feet on the spot where Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith started his historic flight across the Pacific in the Southern Cross. They also visited the University of California, where they were welcomed by a huge crowd of cheering students, at which President Campbell, of the university, recalled his visit tot Australia to witness the solar eclipse of 1922. During the reception, Mr. Charles Moore, who organised the World’s Exposition in 1915, announced a project under which 300 Californian business men wall make a Pacific toutr embracing Australia, beginning in September, for the purpose of enabling Australians and Americans to become better acquainted.
