Notice is- hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Manukau County Council held on the 18th day of .December, 1928. the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at the monthly Meeting of the Council to be held on TUESDAY, the 19tli day of February, 1929, at 10 a.m. at the Council Chambers. corner of Shortland and Prince’s Streets, Auckland. RESOLUTION. In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in and conferred upon it by “The Counties’ Act, 1920,” “The Health Act, 1920,” “The Explosives and Dangerous Goods Act, 1908,” and the various Acts amending the said Acts and by all other Acts and powers it hereunto enabling, the Manukau County Council DOTH HEREBY by Special Order make ordain and enact the following By-laws: (Here follow the By-laws.) The object and purport of the proposed By-laws are:— 1. To extend and amend the existing By-laws of the County. 2. To repeal certain By-laws relating to dangerous goods and to make provision for the keeping and storing of explosives and dangerous goods and in particular to (a) define dangerous goods* (b) regulate the keeping or storing of dangerous goods, (c) provide for the obtaining of. licences in connection therewith and for the inspection of premises and for the payment of licence fees. 3. Defining certain areas within the Mangere Riding of the County and providing that buildings within such areas shall, except in special circumstances, be erected, altered or added to only in brick, stone or concrete or other approved materials. 4. Regulating the erection and construction of and alterations to chimneys and fireplaces in buildings. 5. Providing for affixing of rear reflectors on bicycles. A full copy of these By-laws is deposited at the Office of the Council, County Chambers, Corner of Shortland and Princes Streets, Auckland, and is open to the inspection of the public during office hours until the 19th day of February, 1929.
