SHIPS

When you are rather breathless through Waving a good romp, you might play this game. It’s nice and quiet, but good fun for all that. It isv called “Ships.” One of the players is elected captain. Well, she or he sits in the middle <% the circle and asks the first one a question. “What is the name of this ship?” This player’s answer must begin with an A. The next player is asked the same question. This word must begin with a B. And right round the room is the question asked, and all the iftiswers must begin with a B.' Then another question is asked. Such as “What was the ship’s cargo?” Here again the first player’s reply begins with an A, the second with a B, and so on. But the captain should not start the circle with the same player all the time, or she will be prepared with an answer beginning with an A every time. No, she must start at a different player each time, so that no one knows what letter will be used. As many questions as you like can be asked, and when a player cannot answer he or she pays a forfeit.
