MAN’S SUDDEN DEATH
“DON’T THINK TOO HARD OF ME” FRIEND’S ALARM Ou Thursday evening Harold Jackson Clark, aged 24, died suddenly at his boardinghouse in Symonds Street. It is believed that he had taken an overdose o£ a sleeping draught, as he had been in the habit of taking the draughts for some time. A post-mortem examination is to be made before the inquest is held. About 7 o'clock on the evening that Mr. Jackson died a young woman called to see him. He left the room saying, “If anything should happen to separate us, don’i think too hard of me.” When he returned his face was a peculiar colour and his friend became alarmed and called a doctor.
