RIVOLI, HOWICK
BIG PROGRAMME TO-NIGHT One of the finest programmes ever presented at Howick will be staged at the Rivoli Theatre this evenilig. It includes two big pictures, and an entertaining stage band novelty. “The Rivoli Revels,” as the Stage Band is called, will give a thirtyminute combination of music, song and dance, starring Peleta, Madame Baird’s star pupil, supported by a ballet and ensemble arranged by Constance Skeen. There will be special lighting effects and an outstanding entertainment is assured. At the head of the pictorial side of the programme is a super comedyd r a m a entitled "Don’t Marry.” The story of a modern, jazzy flapper, who, in order to attract a rather puritanical young millionaire, gets herself up as an old-fashioned girl of the prunes and prisms school, is well told in this Fox photoplay. Lois Moran, beloved of the leads in this gay comedy of high life. The second big picture is a powerful drama of setylife and of love and hatred on a typical “hell-ship” of the sailing days. Jacqueline Logal and Richard Arlen are the stars. The first of the new series of breezy “Collegians” pictures completes the programme.
