BIG COTTON CORPORATION

The Lancashire Cotton Corporation, which has been registered, will shortly issue its first debentures, the Bank of England temporarily supplying the necessary finance. Sir Kenneth Stewart is the first chairman, and the directorate includes Sir James Cooper. An Advisory Committee is being formed to arrai ge the taking over of companies, and the corporation expects to acquire at least 100 mills and from 7,000,000 to 8,000,000 spindles in 1929.
