NET PROFIT OF £89,221 A net profit of £59,221 is shown in the annual report and balance sheet, of the Auckland Gas Company for the year ended December 31, 1928. To this has to be added £40,273 10s sd, the balance at the credit of the profit and loss account, bringing the total in the account to £ 129,594 6s lid. An interim dividend at the rate of 8 per cent per annum paid last July absorbed £44,58S 19s lOd, leaving a balance of £85,005 7s Id to be dealt with. Payment of a final dividend for the year will require £44,723 4s sd, leaving £40,252 2s Sd to be carried forward.
