At this stage Roi L’Or could be noticed mowing down his field. Into the straight Jean McElwyn came, with Glideaway full of step. At the distance post Glideaway headed her, and all interest then centred as to whether Roi L’Or could overhaul Glideaway. Lie was going two to the latter’s one, but Glideaway got .to the judge two lengths clear of her opponent and for her trainer, W. J. Tomkinson. she secured the Dunedin Cup of 1929 - . , Glideaway is an Australian-bied mare, ond came to New Zealand about seven months ago. She showed most promising form at Alexandra Park last month.
