USED ARSENIC FOR SODA
RABBITER’S TRAGIC ERROR (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 11.10 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. An InvereJl message states that after eating their evening: meal, three rabbiters. William Kurd, aged 32, Patrick IToudfoot, 28, and Claude Donnelly, 24, became violently ill. Ford had made a damper and had accidentally used arsenic instead of soda. Proudfoot. although suffering terrible agony, walked three miles to the nearest township for assistance. Ford died in hospital and Proudfoot is not expected to recover.
