TAKAPUNA FIRE CALLS
During the year ended December 31, the Takapuna Fire Brigade was summoned on 49 occasions. An analysis of the alarms shows that calls to gorse or grass fires numbered 2G, to buildings 16, to motor-cars two, and on one occasion a burning chimney was responsible. The remaining four were due to the pranks of false-alarmists.
