NO FURTHER TERM

MUSICIAN’S SENTENCE NOT INCREASED THEFT OF BICYCLE No further penalty was imposed when Raymond Cecil Harding, at present serving a term of imprisonment at Mount Eden, was convicted at the Police Court his morning of the theft of a bicycle. Harding, a musician, aged 24, was charged with stealing a bicycle valued at £lO 10s 6d from Hutchinson Brothers. He did not appear, Chief-Detective Hammond mentioning that the case had been adjourned owing to the serious illness of Harding's wife. The man had made restitution, and the police wished for the imposition of no further penalty, as Harding was serving a term of three months’ imprisonment for breaches of the bankruptcy Act. Harding was convicted and discharged.
