POLO IN WAIKATO

NEW CLUB’S SUCCESS (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Wednesday. Polo has come to the fore again in tho Waikato, and the first match of the season was held at Matangi yesterday. Waimai A defeated Matangi C by seven goals to nil, and Waimai B disposed of Matangi D by six goals to three. Although the scoring was all on one side, the first game was very open and fast. The new Waimai Club is well served with ponies, and the players, most of whom are young, have proved themselves to be adept riders. To-morrow the vistors from Waimai will appear at Cambridge, where they will meet the A and B teams of the local club. On Saturday they will again engage Matangi.
