GIRL GUIDES’ DANCE
NORTH SHORE TROOP The IST or ill Shore troop of Girl Guides held an impromptu dance in the Parish Hall. Devonport, last evening 1 as a beginning for 1929. The hall was comfortably filled and the proceeds go to liquidate the expenses of the recent camp at Clevedon. The committee organising the function was: The District Commissioner. Mrs. Percival, Mrs. Lee. Mrs. Ryan, -Mrs. Roberts and Mrs. Clarke. Miss X. Clarke (troop captain). Miss Clarke .(Brown Owl), and Patrol Leaders Joan Roberts. Betty Atkinson. Ray Gurr. Xoel Wynyard, and Blossom Gooding. Music was supplied by the Kit Kat Orchestra, and the hall was brightlv decorated. Among the dancers were: Miss A . Gibbons, apple green crepe de chine. Miss B. Gibbons. floral satin crepe frock. Miss H. Schmidt, mauve silk, organdie trimming. Miss _P\ Latta, powder blue georgette. Miss X. AA'atson. white embossed taffeta frock. Miss E. Latta, frock of floral georgette. Miss S. Challinor, emerald green crepe de chine. Miss R. Woods, embossed georgette and silver lame. Miss IC. Johnston, wistaria mauve crepe de chine. Miss V Bird, summer blue frock of georgette. Miss M. Stewart, leaf green georgette. Miss R. Prideaux, cuban orange frock of georgette. Miss X. Edwards, geranium rose georgette. Miss R. Xaugliton, canary yellow georgette frock. Miss J. Lee, flowered voile frock. Miss X. Percival, white crepe de chine, blue trimmings. Miss B. Gooding, striped frock of crepe de chine. Miss M. Clarke, green swiss embroidered voile. Miss G. Percival blue flowered voile. Miss Phyllis Best, heliotrope voile frock. Miss Patricia Parker, figured frock of voile. Miss Emma Dorrington, sea green ninon frock. Miss Ethel Archer, viola mauve crepe de chine. , Miss L. Mac Duff, green and blue dotted rayon. Miss Ira Ardley, lacquer red milanese silk. Miss Jean Stephenson, rose pink floral georgette. Miss May Elwarth, wistaria mauve geox-gette. Miss Joyce Andrew, emerald linen frock. Miss Molly Shepherd, striped silk crepe frock. Miss Kathleen Gordon, iris mauve french linen frock. Miss Coleman, apricot frock of georgette. Miss Molly Mitchell, flame georgette frock. Miss May Bowen, frock of leaf green linen. Miss Edith Bush, white silk crepe frock. Miss Joyce Hayson, pale green satin. Miss Irene Lee's, frock of white silk crepe. M iss Muriel'Colin white frock of crepe faille. Miss L. Stokes, blue taffeta frock. Miss E. Waymouth, scarlet and white georgette. Miss A. Chaplin, powder blue georgette and silver tinsel. Miss Everett, japonica rose satin. Miss V. Petersen, black and white satin. Miss IC. Petersen, black frock of georgette. Miss R. Sparks, champagne silk crepe frock.
