BISHOP OF AOTEAROA

TOUR OF DIOCESE COMMENCED (From Our Own Correspondent) ROTORUA, Wednesday. The Right Rev. F. A. Bennett, Bishop of Aotearoa, arrived in Rotorua this evening. He is accompanied by some 60 members of the Church from Hawke’s Bay. His stay in Rotorua will extend over two days, after which he proceeds to Ruatoki, thence to Poroporo to assist in the unveiling, at Poroporo, of a stone to the memory of Poawha Mehana. The actual unveiling of the stone will be performed by the Right Hon. J. G. Coates, Leader of the Opposition. The Hon. Sir Apirana Ngata, Minister in Charge of Native Affairs, will also be present. An opportunity will ke taken of the presence of these visitors to discuss a matter of the confiscatoin of Maori lands. %
