Takapuna Next Fields in the Cup and Sprint THE next important fixture for Auckland sportsmen is the summer meeting of the Takapuna Jockey Club, to be held on Saturday and Tuesday (Anniversary Day) next. For the big double event, the Takapuna Cup and Stewards’ DESERT GLOW HIGH FINANCE The recent efforts of these two horses indicate that they are right at the top of their form, and thus will be equal to a splendid showing in their respective races. However, High Finance is engaged in the Zealandia Handicap earlier in the day. Handicap, have filled well, for out of the 28 horses handicapped for these two races only five dropped out on acceptance night last Friday. The field in the Cup is fully representative of Auckland provincial handicap horses, while the sprint field too is well up to standard.
