POWER-HOUSE DESTROYED
TOWN IN DARKNESS FIRE IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA (Australian and N.Z. Prats Association) Reed. 11.10 a.m. ADELAIDE, To-day. The Adelaide South Electric Power Company’s power house at Bordertown was destroyed by fire. The damage is estimated at £5,000. The town’s supply of power and electric light is cut off. The local hospital was also dependent on the system. A 500-gallon tank of crude oil caught tire and sent up clouds of black smoke, but fortunately it did not explode.
