CATTLE DOG OR POMERANIAN?

DIFFERENCE COSTS £1 7S 6D (From Our Own Correspondent) PAPAKURA, To-day. A little difference of opinion as to whether a dog was a pomeranian or a cattle dog led to the appearance in the Papakura Magistrate’s Court today of R. Piikington and E. Slater, for failing to register the animal. It was explained that the defendants went to the Manukau County Council’s office to register the dog as a cattle dog, the fee being lower than that for other dogs. The registrar, however, considered the animal was a pome.ranian. consequently it was not registered. The magistrate upheld the registrar’s opinion and ordered the defendants to pay £ I 7s 6d costs.
