TOBACCO SENSATION
COMPANY’S DIVIDEND OF 26 PER CENT. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Tuesday. A sensational rise in Imperial Tobacco £1 shares from 127 s to 136 s followed the announcement of a dividend of 26 per cent., and the distribution of one free share for every four held on to-day’s market. A valuation of the company’s ordinary capital shows that it is now worth over £200.000.000
