SPORTS AT GLEN MURRAY
KEEN HUNTING COMPETITION (From Our Oicn Con-cspondcnt) HUNTLY, Monday. Some tine horsemanship was seen in the mounted events at the Glen Murray sports on Saturday. The chief event, the open hunters’ competition, was won by Mr. A. Walker, of East. Tamaki, with his horse Hauturu. Mounted events were as follow: Tilting the Ring—F. Clemette, 1 and 2; I. Broughton, 3. Bending Competition—A. Wilson. 1; 1. Broughton, 2. Maiden Hunters’ Competition l. Broughton’s Tui, 1; L. Boyd's Belle, 2; C. Rowe’s Twostep, 3. Novelty Gallop—K. Henry, 1; I. Death, 2; F. Clemette. 3. Open Hunters’ Competition A. Walker’s Hauturu. 1; K. Henry’s Rose Marie, 2; G. McQueen's Paddy, 2. Consolation Hunters’ Competition—A. Walker’s Miss Flirt, 1; F. Clemette's Laddie 2; I. Death’s Beige, 3. Turnip Race—F. Broughton, 1; 1,. Cathcart, 2. Ladies’ Bracelet—A. Wilson’s Capstar, 1; F. Clemette’s Winnie Lupin. 2; li. Marshall’s Flyer, 3.
