FREIGHT CONFERENCE
OWNERS’ REPRESENTATIVE (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 9.40 a.m. LONDON, Mondas’. It is reported that Sir Alan Anderson will be one of the shipowners’ represen tativeslon the freight conference in Australia.
The conference will consider the proposed increase in freights, which was deferred after protests by the shippers. Sir Alan Anderson, K.8.E.. is one of the managers of the Orient Line, and is a director of the L.M. and S. Railway, of the Bank of England, and of the Suez Lanai Company, as well as being a \ ice-pi esident of the International Cham’jei of Commerce.
