AUCKLAND VALUES Hides met with a very dull sale at the fortnightly hide and skin sale held by the Auckland Wool Brokers’ Association this afternoon. Most lots were passed in at prices well below late rates. Sheepskins . met with a steady ■'demand. Prices ranged as follow:
Hides —Heavy ox, 7td to B£d; light and medium, 7d to 7td; heavy cow. lid; light to medium, 7}d to 7£d; yearlings, 8d to 9d: best calf, to 16£d; good calf, 14d to lGd; inferior and damaged, to IOJd. Sheepskins—Halfbred, 15td; fine crossbred. 14\d; short to half wool, llid; quarter avool, 1 Oid; lambs, 14d: pelts, 10id; salted pelts, 4s 6d; best salted skins, ~9s 4d to 11s 6d; good, 8s to 8s 6d; medium, 6s lOd to 7s 6d; poor to damaged. 4s.
