Payments to suppliers to the Morrinsville Dairy Co. for butter-fat to date this season amount to £96,473, compared with £69,151 for the corresponding- period of last season. The company paid out £22,454 for December on a basis of Is s£d a lb for butter-fat. A pay-out at the rate of Is 6d a lb for butter-fat supplied for cheese-mak-ing purposes has been made by the Tatua Dairy Co. on its December output. The total distribution to suppliers for the month amounts to £8,425, compared with £7,279 for the corresponding period of last season. The sum of £4,396 has been distributed to suppliers of the Norfolk Dairy Co. for butter-fat supplied during December. Payment was based on Is 6d a lb for butter-fat. Cheese suppliers to the Sunny Park Dairy Co. received £6,198 for December butter-fat, based on payment at the rate of Is 6d a lb for butter-fat. Suppliers to the butter-making department received £479, on a basis of Is 4d a lb for butter-fat. The Bay of Plenty Co-operative Dairy Association will may out £2S,SO2 to-day to supplier? for 410.6811 b of butter-fat supplied for December. The payment for December last season was £23,789 for 360,8861 b. The total amount of butter manufactured this season to December 31 is 820 tons, as against 6SS tons last season. The amount paid to suppliers is £105,333, as against £55,062. A large increase in the pay-out of the Whangarei Co-operative Dairy Company was recorded for December, 1925, compared with that of the corresponding month in 1927. In December, 1928, the payout was £30,220 16s 5d at Is scl a lb, and ii> December, 1927, £21,224 5s lOd at Is 3d a lb. The total pay-out for the season up to December 31, 1925, amounted to £103,799 10s lid, compared with £ 52,51 S 18s 9d in 1927. The total amount to be paid to December butter-fat suppliers in the Dargaville district this week is £57,656, an increase of £10,751 on December, 1927. For the season to December 31 the total is £201,744, an increase of £37,675 over the 1927 season. To date this season the Te Aroha Dairy Company lias paid out £106,606 to suppliers, compared with £72,840 for the corresponding period of last season. For the December output suppliers received £26,824 paid at the rate of Is 5d a lb. for butter-fat. The Waipu Co-operative Dairy Company’s pay-out for December shows a large increase over that of December, 1927. In December, 1928, the pay-out was £6,350, at the rate of Is 4d a lb., with id extra for superfine. In December, 1927, is was £4,638, at the rate of Is 2d a lb. The total pay-out for the six months ended December 31, 1928, was £23,230, compared with £18,256 in 1927. The Raglan Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., is paying Is 4id a lb. for superfine butter-fat for the December supply. The pay-out amounts to £6,460, compared with £5,420 for the previous December. The total amount paid out to date this season is £23,055, as against £18,675 for the corresponding period last year. TRADE IN BAD WAY (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Saturday. For the purpose of justifying its claims for safeguarding and a reduction in wages in certain sections of the industry, the Woollen and Worsted Federation has issued statistics. These reveal a heavy decline in overseas trade, both in tops and in fabrics. The respective exports of woollen tissues to Australia were 12.59 millions of suare yards in 1913, and 7.13 millions last year. The respective figures for worsteds were 7.78 millions and 1.54 millions. The New Zealand figures were for tissues 3.97 millions and 2.42 millions, and for worsteds 1.66 millions and 800,000.
