LIQUOR IMPORTATION REPORT TO U.S. SENATE (Australian and. N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 9.5 a.m. WASHINGTON, Sunday A report to the Senate and the House of Representatives says it is coSimon knowledge that liquor from the embassies and legations is peddled all over Washington. Mr. G. W. Norris (Republican, Nebraska) says it is one of the sad predicaments of prohibition. Mr. Ebeller (New York) had asked the Prohibition Commissioner, Mr. J. M. Doran, to inform Congress on the amount of wines and liquors imported for diplomatic use, since he is unable to obtain the figures, and he wishes to know whether the amount js so lai-ge that to publish it would cause a scandal.
